The company promises customers a 10 percent monthly returns on capital investments made. Nana Appiah Mensah founded the Ghanaian-based company.

Trouble however broke out when the Bank of Ghana issued a notice of warning to the general public on the need to be careful and wary of any dealings with the institution as they are by and large not licensed by the Central Bank.

Consequently, the institution’s operations were shut down in September 2018. There have been wails and cries aplenty among Ghanaians as a result.

Yvonne Nelson was quick to dispatch rumours that she played a huge part in the popularity of the company. This was in response to rumours that she invested huge sums of money into the running of the institution.

Despite all of the menzgold saga and denials flying around, some have stood by the company. Maurice Ampaw, a private legal practitioner has insisted that he is a proud customer. He says he feels insisted when investors in the company are labelled as greedy.

This is coming after Finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta labelled all customers of Menzgold, greedy people.
