Arsenal And Chelsea Allocated Only 6000 Tickets For Europa League Final

Arsenal have revealed that themselves and Chelsea have been allocated only 6000 tickets for the Europa league final to be held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The North London club describes it as disappointing considering that the host stadium, Olympic Stadium has a capacity of 68,700.

In contrast, Tottenham and Liverpool each have 16,613 tickets for the Champions League finals to be played at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

Arsenal are now in talks with UEFA on the possibility of getting more allocations for the North London derby finals to be played in Baku.

“We have been informed by Uefa that both clubs will receive an allocation of just 6,000 tickets each for the match,” Arsenal said.

“We are in active discussions with Uefa for more tickets for our fans but this disappointing ticket allocation obviously presents us with extreme difficulties in how we allocate tickets to you, our loyal supporters.

They added that with 45,000 season-ticket holders and over 180,000 official members it was always going to be tough with only 6,000 tickets allocation.

They apologized to loyal and ever-supportive supporters who were a part of the long journey to the finals but will be unable to attend the match.

“As many of you will be aware, we are proud to have approximately 45,000 season-ticket holders and over 180,000 official members.

“It is inevitable that with an allocation of just 6,000 tickets for the final, there will be thousands of fans who have supported the club for years and been part of our Europa League journey this season, who will be unable to attend this match.”

The statement by the North London club revealed that tickets were priced at £26, £43, £78 and £121 and that only the ones at £43 were officially listed as limited or extremely limited as the case may be.

Arsenal will lock horns with Chelsea in the finals having played out a 7-3 aggregate with Valencia in the semis.
