Bolt (Taxify): Clients Raise Alarm As They Get Debit Alerts Without Taking Ride
Some clients of Bolt (Taxify) have raised alarm on Twitter after receiving alerts for rides they didn’t take.

So @Boltapp_ng has just charged me twice for the same trips they had collected money for 2 weeks back and taken all the money in my account.
They are claiming hack.

Many have made conjectures that the server of the transport system has been hacked and people should unlink their card details from the app.

However, the official Bolt account on Twitter has now responded to the current situation. They stated that the server wasn’t hacked and the issue will be clarified soon.
“Bolt (Taxify) has not been hacked. Also, we do not store credit card data. Our payments provider is possibly experiencing issues which we are trying to clarify.
“Should you receive these debit alerts, please confirm against your bank statements to be sure actual sums were deducted.
“We also encourage everyone to email us at nigeria@bolt.eu with relevant details so we can assist our payment partners arrive at a speedy resolution,” Bolt said.
