Buhari Will Resolve Issues of Insecurity – IBB
- Babangida expresses confidence in Buhari’s ability to address security challenges.
- Calls for patience and support for the president.
Former military Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has expressed optimism that the President Muhammadu Buhari- led administration would resolve the issues of insecurity in the country.
The former military ruler, who expressed confidence in the ability of the President to fulfill his electoral promises to Nigerians, gave the assurance while addressing journalists at his hilltop residence on Tuesday in Minna, Niger State.
While calling on Nigerians to be patient with Buhari in the addressing the challenges, Babangida said the president is known as a person not disposed to idle talk, as he is a man of his words.
The former president who also urged Nigerians to hold the president by his words stated that the “resurgence of insecurity was but a temporary setback which would be overcome with time.”
While reiterating that Buhari has the ability of the president to put the country on the path of development and growth, the former ruler said what is required now is for Nigerians to rally round the President to succeed in the task ahead.
He urged Nigerians to shun divisive tendencies, saying the peace and unity of the country is sacrosanct.
