COVID-19 Nigeria Update Today
Nigeria has recorded an additional 182 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Fro the cases reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Lagos recorded 111 cases, FCT has 16, Akwa Ibom-10, Oyo-8, Kaduna-6, Delta-6, Rivers-5, Ogun-4, Ebonyi-4, Kano-3, Plateau-2, Gombe-2, Kebbi-1, Kwara-2, Bauchi-1, and Borno-1.
From the 8915 cases of Nigeria, 2592 have been discharged with 259 deaths recorded.

Abia declares COVID-19 positive patient wanted
The Abia State Government has declared a suspected COVID-19 patient named Emmanuel Ononiwu, wanted.
Ononiwu was declared wanted after being tested positive and refused to isolate himself as requested by appropriate medical protocol.
The Commissioner of Information, John Okiyi-Kalu, made this known in a statement yesterday, saying Ononiwu, residing at Aba, escaped from a temporary holding facility in Aba, prior to his movement to an isolation center, after he was informed of his status.
All subsequent appeals made to him through his phone line; 08033484117, fell on deaf ears, as he insisted that he will not turn himself in. He had switched off his line along with that of his spouse, required to present herself for testing.
Okiyi-Kalu stated that the last tracked location of Ononiwu was around Asa Triangle in Aba South Local Government.
CACOVID donates hospital equipment to Nasarawa, Gombe
Nasarawa State Governments and its Gombe counterparts have inaugurated three new isolation centers equipped by the Private Sector-led Coalition Against COVID-19, CACOVID, to stem the tide of the scourge in the two states.
While receiving the equipment on Thursday when visited Shabu Isolation Centre, Lafia, where individuals with cases of coronavirus are expected to be attended to, Nasarawa Governor Abdulahi Sule, after inspecting some of the ventilators among other equipment already installed in some wards at the isolation center, assured the people that the CACOVID gesture will go a long way in helping the government meet its obligations in curbing the spread of the COVID-19 in Nasarawa State.
Overwhelmed with the amount of ventilators and other hospital equipment received from various philanthropists, the Governor promised that all hands would be on deck to ensure the state intensify its awareness campaign against the virus.
CACOVID also in Gombe renovated and supplied equipment to two general hospitals, designated as isolation centers in the state.
Another of the center, which used to be a snake bite treatment center, situated inside the General Hospital in Kaltungo LGA, was furnished and equipped by CACOVID and was opened by the State Deputy Governor, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau.
PTF: 10% of infected persons are health workers
National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Aliyu Sani, has revealed that 10 percent of people infected with the Coronavirus are health workers.
He stated this on Thursday when the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) provided medical equipment to the police to curtail the spread of COVID-19 at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
While lauding the health workers for their commitment to the fight against the virus, Sani called on other agencies to emulate NHIS so as to fight the spread of the virus.
