Evra Thinks Pogba Would Leave Club After Heavy Criticism By Fans

Patrice Evra who seems to have taking a liking to Manchester United news and happenings around Old Trafford since his retirement from playing the round leather game has lent a voice to talks of abuse of Frenchman, Pogba by a fan.

United legend, Evra thinks Pogba will be pushed to leave the club on account of fan criticism of him after United’s 2-0 loss to Cardiff City.

The Frenchman was on the receiving end of some heated abuse from a section of fans on ManUnited ground after the red devils’ humbling defeat in the hands of relegated Cardiff City on the final day of the Premier League season.

At the conclusion of a campaign which saw him win a World Cup with his national team, stripped of captaincy by Jose Mourinho after fall-out with Portuguese, the 26 year old was the heart of targets from fans during the traditional end-of-season lap of honour.

“It’s not like I am protecting Paul but when there are incidents like [on Sunday] with the fan, they are killing Paul,” Evra told Sky Sports.

The Frenchman continued by saying only Paul and De Gea could fit into some other big team in Europe.

According to him, Pogba would leave because he isn’t feeling loved at United but thinks fans will later fall in love with the midfielder if he commits more years to Old Trafford.

“Just because it’s Paul Pogba, he has haircuts, he dances, his Instagram and everything, people will criticise him while forgetting the player that he is. Only him and De Gea can play in a big team in Europe.

“I think he will leave because you need to feel the love when you play somewhere, you need to be committed.

“If Paul decides to stay another year and then leave, or stay another few years, maybe the fans will love him because he is committed. The United fans love you when you say you are committed.”
