FG – ASUU May Possibly Call Off Strike Today
Minister of Education identified as Adamu Adamu, has revealed that the strike which is nearing its 4-month by lecturers under the umbrella of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may be called off today February 3rd, Sunday.

While present at a media conference in Abuja, yesterday, February 2nd, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, informed newsmen that an agreement has been reached between ASUU and the FG and that the long-awaited strike will not enter into next week.
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu’s statement to the newsmen read:
”The strike will be called off from today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) and certainly, there won’t be strike next week.”
Also recall that a lot of students are not happy with the latest developments right from last year November when the strike began.
There have also been several meetings which have taken place between the Federal Government and the members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) right from November last year, with the latest meeting taking place on Friday.

When the Friday meeting was concluded, Chris Ngige under the Umbrella of the Federal Government stated that there have been positive talks which have taken place between the FG and ASUU and the latter will meet on Thursday to determine the outcome of the long-awaited strike which has left University students frustrated.
However, according to the Minister of Education, he believes that positive results have emerged from the last meeting and that the strike will not exceed next week.
