Reactions Trail Maryam Sanda’s Appeal
It is no longer news that Maryam Sanda was sentenced to death by hanging for allegedly killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello.
But reactions have trailed her appeal of the judgment which according to her “was tainted by bias and prejudices, which led to the denial of her right to fair hearing and her consequent conviction based on circumstantial evidence despite the reasonable doubt that was created by evidence of witnesses, lack of confessional statement, absence of murder weapon, lack of corroboration of evidence by two or more witnesses and lack of autopsy report to determine the true cause of her husband’s death.

Because of the mistakes made by Maryam Hiyana, Maryam Sanda, and now Maryam Booth, it doesn’t mean that all Maryams are despicable. In fact, the woman with the highest standing in the eyes of the Almighty Allah, is Maryam, the mother of Jesus Christ peace be upon him.

Domestic Violence should actually be taken very serious. Crimes of passion happens a lot. Maryam Sanda unfortunately killed her husband out of rage. Leave at the first sight of physical abuse or violence.

This doesn’t make any sense at all. If so Maryam Sanda shouldn’t be sentenced to death https://t.co/m2p5j96aTq

Some people are going emotional over Maryam Sanda case. Some advocating for leniency cos of who will take care of the child, why didn’t she think about who will be a father to the children when she gruesomely stabbed the young man to death?

If boko haram members can get a second chance in life just by being rehabilitated at repentant camps, why can’t Maryam Sanda get the same treatment???

If there is anything we should learn from Maryam Sanda and other couples killing themselves after marriage, it is the fact that couples need to be tested psychologically before they marry to avoid story that touch.
May we not marry someone who will cause our downfall ???

I can’t say anything about Maryam Sanda case again.
Since we now have a Senator that left his senatorial district just to come and defend the terrorist group in the Chamber while ignoring his people lacking basic amenities(primary assignment).— Premier (@SodiqTade) February 20, 2020

One of the most prudent things you should do for yourself in Nigeria today is keeping out of trouble. One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to be sent to jail in Nigeria.
Jail in Nigeria is halfway house to hell. Maryam Sanda will probably never be executed— C H U R C H i L L (@CHURCHiLL_oo7) February 11, 2020
