UK Students are being paid to be infected with dangerous tropical diseases
Research institutes in the UK are offering university students in need of money as much as £3,500 to be infected with dangerous tropical diseases like typhoid, malaria and pneumonia.
iDonsabi was made to understand that the students volunteered to be infected with some exotic bacteria and viruses for the sole purpose of scientific research.
The UK research institutes identified to be involved in this research and volunteer programme are Oxford University and Imperial College London.

It is no longer news that the UK is a world leader when it comes to scientific researches.
In this current research experiment known as challenge trial being carried out by these institutes, the students are “challenged” with an infectious tropical disease and monitored.
The aim of the experiment is to advance the development of new vaccines against such tropical diseases.
