Why I Charge Upcoming Artistes Before Playing Their Songs – Daddy Freeze Reacts

A fan attacked Daddy Freeze on twitter, angry that Daddy Freeze was charging over 100k to play some artistes’ (upcoming) music on the radio.

Daddy Freeze known for always responding to trolls and whoever attacks him immediately explained himself, “I owe nobody explanation, but I’ll give you one nonetheless. I have 23 years of radio experience, If I choose to charge a fee (which I should), how is that anyone’s business?” he asked

“I preach the gospel for free, everything else I charge for, in full upfront. By the way, I don’t charge for radio Airplay, but for artiste consultancy( a bracket under which I can file literally anything I wish)” He continued.

“Before you come for OAPs, is your song nice? Does it make sense? Would it add value to my show.” 

A minute of my time is in six figures, why shouldn’t it be?’ He wrote.

Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze is a Nigerian Radio Host and Presenter.

He’s popularly known to attack Nigerian pastors. “Your Pastor’s Teacher”, his twitter bio reads.

The OAP didn’t stop at that. He further went on his twitter account to repeat himself in other words.

He advised upcoming artist to pay attention to making great music. “Why are Davido, Wiz and 2face not crying that OAPs are charging them for rotation?” He asked.

“Because they concentrate on making great music!” He replied.

Daddy Freeze also revealed that he had to buy Kizz Daniel’s song – Fvck you with #150 out of his hard earned money so he could play the song which is now on constant rotation.

He said he did that because the song is awesome.

“I won’t listen to or promote nonsense just to be politically correct, neither would I sit down with mediocre artistes without charging for it.” He concluded.
